Simply lace up and tighten the additional eyelet for a snug fit. This pulls your foot forward, squeezing your toes like you would in climbing shoes for added security on technical terrain. To return to hiking mode, loosen the laces for more toe space and greater comfort while hiking. Inside the highly abrasion-resistant suede leather and microfiber upper, a thin, exceptionally breathable GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane provides maximum comfort in a variety of climates and protection from wet weather. It keeps feet dry while allowing moisture vapor to escape. To further enhance climbing precision, the Wildfire Edge insole incorporates an extra stiff edge plate directly beneath the climbing zone in the forefoot, providing additional directional stiffness, while the rest of the insole remains flexible to ensure good comfort and a natural rolling motion. The Pomoca Speed MTN sole is made of a sticky rubber compound that provides high friction on smooth rocks and slabs. The outsole features special lugs for improved grip on mud and soft terrain.
